The Great Gatsby

This iconic novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald highlights the peak of wealth in the jazz age. This great classic of twentieth-century literature has always been one of my favourite reads. In honour of the book, I decided to create a special edition book cover.

The design thinking behind the cover involved the six main characters. Jay Gatsby, Nick Carraway, Daisy Buchanan, Tom Buchanan, Jordan Baker and Myrtle Wilson. The cover shows each character reaching for a glass of champagne. The tower signifies the delicacy of the story and the characters actions as they unfold.
